I have grown up with various breeds of dogs in my life, from childhood until now - and can't imagine it any other way.

I’ve had horses, chickens, rabbits, goats, etc, but dogs have had a special place in my heart. I got my first dog when I was about 10 years old and my father made it very clear he was my responsibility and I was very happy to except the challenge. The dog was called Mick and he was a 10 month old Lakeland terrier, and yes, he did live up to the stereotype of a terrier; he was a handful!

As I got older, I developed a keen interest in showing my dogs, which I carry on to this day. I compete my terriers throughout the summer months at Game Fairs and County Shows. I have also judged at several of these shows, where I get insights into the varying relationships between dog and owner.

I always knew I wanted to work with dogs as a career. I started to again more experience with different breeds. As well as attending several canine courses all over the country.
